London Marathon Charity Fundraising

 The London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event in the world and KTH runners have always done their part adding to the staggering £890 million raised since the race began in 1981.  This years race takes place on Sunday 22nd April and four fellow KTH members will be running and raising money for good causes.

Alan Rain is running on behalf of Kettering General Hospital Intensive Care Unit to recognise the excellent care they provided to his partner Kirste when she was rushed into hospital and spent a month in a coma.

Cherise Gould is running on behalf of Brain Tumour Research. In 2012 her twin sister Danielle underwent several 8-9 hour operations after being diagnosed with Cerebellar Haemangioblastoma.

Emma Jayne White is running on behalf of local Kettering charity Accommodation Concern. The charity approached KTH to seek a runner willing to run on their behalf after they successfully obtained their first London Marathon charity place. Emma stepped forward and took on the challenge along with a target of raising £2000 to support anti-poverty and homelessness initiatives in the county.
