In memory of Amanda Marlow 1968-2022
It is with extreme sadness that we report Amanda Marlow’s passing.
Amanda had a lifelong affiliation with Kettering Town Harriers, starting in the Middle Distance Squad as a teenager and coached by life President Ted Barton, she progressed into a senior and then veteran athlete competing with distinction over many disciplines on Track, Road & Cross Country.
Amanda was also a hugely successful coach and held the post of head coach to the U11’s for many years helping numerous youngsters on their athletics journey, as well as performing many roles for Kettering Town Harriers both as an official and also serving on the committee.

Her positive impact on the lives of so many young athletes cannot be overstated and more than that she was a total inspiration to the whole club all throughout her time at KTH.

We are sure that all members past and present will join us in expressing our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Amanda’s family.
Amanda’s Funeral will be held 2pm on Friday 7th October at the Edgar Newman Chapel, Kettering Crematorium, followed by a celebration of her life at the Athletic Club in Rockingham Road Kettering where she spent many happy nights dancing to Northern Soul.

If anyone would like to show their love and support for Amanda please donate what you can to the Just Giving page of Issy Moxey, an amazing young lady who competed in her first London Marathon on Sunday 2nd October in Amanda’s memory and legacy as an inspirational friend.
The proceeds of the page go to Lakelands Hospice where Amanda and her family have been fundraising for over 10 years, and it was Lakelands Hospice at Home service who took great care of Amanda in her final days.
The Kettering Town Harriers committee will agree the best way to commemorate the significant impact Amanda made on the club, details will follow in due course.
