Debbie Galletta Secures Second Place

For the second year in a row, Kettering Town Harriers finished 5th out of 86 teams in the Wellingborough Multi-Terrain series.  Often following major cross country races on the previous day, Kettering Town Harriers was still able to field complete teams in all three rounds.  This year, the course was heavy going, and water logged in places, making life difficult for the runners.  As in previous years, athletes had a choice of 3 race distances, 5, 10 or 15km over the same course.

Over the three rounds, the club had two category winners.  Rebecca Hall, who was first lady in the third round of the 10 km event, an improvement over her third place in the second round, and Andrew Clawson, who was first veteran man in the third round of the 5km event, also an improvement over his third place in the in the second round.  Also running well was Lee Coulson, who was second veteran man in the second round 5km race.

Over all three rounds, Debbie Galletta's solid runs secured her second place for her age catergory, just missing out on first place by 5 points.
