This year’s East Midland Grand Prix, saw the participation of 20 members of Kettering Town Harriers road runners over the 8 various courses in our region. Good individual performances by Dave Hanwell saw him finish 4th in the M60 age group category. Dave is celebrating his 50th year as a runner, with 42 of these with Kettering Town Harriers. Paul Young and Jill Tierney both finished 8th in the M50 and F40 age groups respectively.
Overall, the men’s team finished a respectable 8th out of 49 teams that took part, slightly lower than the 3rd place they achieved last year, due to the absence of some of their top runners this season, for various reasons. The veteran men’s team did slightly better finishing in 6th place overall.
