U15 Erin Healy continued her fine form in the season ending & prestigious Stars of the Future at Loughborough on Sunday 6th September. Choosing not to run the 100m and concentrate on the 200m instead where she has seen recent big improvements, Erin again produced some terrific performances to win the 200m Gold Medal.
In the heats, Erin convincingly won in 26.58 seconds and slowed up on the line once she was sure of qualification.
In the final, she was in lane 3 and put in an excellent performance to win gold with a time of 26.25, very close to her PB which was set last week at the EA Champs at Bedford.
This was Erin's final competition of a very successful season, and she hopes to build on this as a top year U15 next year, and will be hoping that she remains injury free at the beginning of the season and realise her main ambition of competing at the English Schools Track & Field championships.
Well done Erin!
