Harriers gain promotion in HofE League!

The three Summer fixtures of the Heart of England during 2019 were very successful for the Club. The club have been in Division 2 now for a few years but this season overall the Club finished in second place to Rugby & Northampton which means that the Club will be promoted to Division 1 next summer. This is a just reward to the dedication and commitment of the regular athletes who competed and to the Coaches who engaged in offering athletes to participate.

This League is often difficult because at least 2 fixtures of the 3 clashed with the Senior League and the Club then have to select athletes to take part in one or other of the fixtures and some athletes are willing to compete on consecutive days, which shows a lot of commitment to the Club.

At the first match in Kettering on 2nd June 2019 the Club finished 2nd to R & N. At the second fixture on 16th June at Bromsgrove and Redditch the Club finished 1st. At the final fixture at Kidderminster on 7th July the Club dropped to 3rd position. Overall a combined position from all 3 fixtures of 2nd.

On the Male side the Club finished in 1st place of all clubs over all 4 age groups. The Girls finished in 5th.

The League also provide details of the Best performances in each age category. The following athletes were named as the Best performers over all of the fixtures:-
