It was a successful night for the Harriers at the Kettering Sports
Awards when we scooped three awards. Dick Caplis received the long-time
contribution to sport with over 30 years' service as an athlete and
coach, Dick is the Sprint Coach for the Harriers and has enjoyed much
success coaching athletes to the highest level. Niamh picked up the
young sportswoman award following a tremendous season in which she set
numerous personal bests culminating in a magnificent 4th position in the
National Heptathlon Championships. Shane smith who coaches the Middle
Distance Group also picked up the Coach of the Year award, following a
successful year where many of his group have won county medals and have
represented the club at County, Regional and National events on Track &
Cross Country.
