KTH double win at Peterborough

Two Harriers, Tabby Walford, and Josh Coles, won their respective age categories in round 2 of the Peterborough GP, with Jack Hope and Kayli Walfod narrowly missing a category win by each finishing in second place.

Tabby was competing in the combined U13/U15 boys & girls 3k race and finished an impressive 16th overall in 12.13, winning the U13G category, and finishing 4th out of all the competing girls. The ever consistent Jack Hope again ran an excellent race finishing 2nd to Nene Valley Harrier James McCrae in 10.36. Also running well for the Harriers was Ethan Mehmet, who finished 17th in 12.13, and sister Lauran Mehmet finishing 33rd in 13.21. There were 73 athletes competing

In the senior 5k race,  competing over 5k for the first time, Josh Coles ran impressively to finish just outside the top 10 in 12th position in 17.25, and winning the U17 men category by the narrowest of margins from NVH's Ben Hampson who finished 1 second behind Josh! Liam Smith made a big improvement from his first round, finishing a full 56 seconds faster and 40 positions higher in 60th with 19.39. Kayli Walford was agonisingly close to winning the U17W race finishing in 113th with 21.13, just 5 seconds behind the winner, NVH's Paige Lambert. Also running were Shane Smith who finished in 106th in 21.04, and Danielle Smith, 185th in 24.14.

The third round is at Ferry Meadows on 6th July.
