On the 28th April Club Coach Matthew Peleszok will be walking around Kettering Athletics track for 20hrs 12 minutes to celebrate both the London Olympics but also to raise money for two great charities, this is just one week after I have completed the Virgin London Marathon. I will be joined on my walk by other members of Kettering TH as part of a family fun day.
You may be asking why am I doing this? I am doing it for two reasons, one to support the Ron Pickering Memorial Trust which is supporting my marathon run.
The Fund is dedicated to assisting aspiring young athletes who have shown by their attitude and dedication that they possess the qualities which will ensure the growth and protection of sport. This is a cause close to my heart through my commitment to athletics locally and nationally.
Any donation you may wish to make towards helping the next generation of athletes to succeed will be gratefully received.
Also for Cancer Research UK which have helped both my parents in their fight with cancer. My dad has had cancer for the last 6 years and my mum was diagnosed in 2011.
With this in mind I am wondering if you could support my efforts by donating raffle prizes. I am running a raffle where everyone who sponsors me a minimum of £5 gets entered into the hat to win one of many great prizes donated to me by local companies so any prizes you can offer would be gratefully received.
