Local GB star appearance at KTH awards night!

We are delighted to confirm that former international athlete Karen Cudby (was Harewood) will be joining us for the Celebration & Awards night on 19th November to give a short talk on what it takes to become a GB athlete, identifying untapped potential (Karen started her running career in her mid-20’s) and the mind set required to come back from adversity.

Many will know that Karen a local athlete based in Corby suffered a potential career threatening injury breaking her thigh bone while competing for GB in the European Indoor Championships over 800m in 2007. She brave fought back continuing her athletics career and competing on the National stage. Later in her career she set the V35 number 1 all-time fastest 800m time.

Karen also boasts an indoor time of 2:00.53 which is 5th on the all-time list and she also competed for GB at the 2006 world indoor championships.

Karen will also hopefully be staying to give out some of the major trophies in the second part of the awards.
