Men's vet League Victory!

On Sunday 4th September the Veterans team headed to Nuneaton for the B Final. Eight teams in both the Mens match and the Ladies match were competing. With a relatively small squad it was a team effort to ensure that as many events as possible could be covered. The team spirit heightened when it became apparent that both Mens and Ladies team were in with a chance of winning.

Athletes carrying injuries competed in extra events to ensure all events were covered (Peter Goringe) in their age group, including those in orthopaedic boots (Richard Coleman) and some did all events in their age group (Paul Young v60). Club records were also broken.

Both teams excelled with the Mens Team being rewarded with Victory in the B final. The Ladies team also did extremely well, finishing in 2nd place, as they were without a v60 athlete and with 6 events on offer lost vital points with no competitor.
