Midweek success for Middle Distance squad

It was a busy Wednesday night for the KT Harriers Middle distance squad, with an English Schools qualifying time/ Sub 5 clocking/ & a new Club Record the main highlights from the squad who were in action at the regional BMC at Birmingham.

There were new 1500m PB's for Josh Cara, Jack Hope & Kayli Walford, and a Club record for Tabby Walford. Josh Cara was again running against much older opposition in his race but this helped spur him on to record an all important English Schools qualifying mark of 4:22.0, and his 4th PB of the year to finish 11th in the same race which fellow Harrier Josh Coles was also competing & who finished 8th in 4:16.7. Josh Cara now faces a few weeks wait to hopefully get the call up to represent Warwickshire at the all England Schools Championship at Gateshead. Kayli Walford also had an impressive run to record a new PB and dip below the magical 5:00 minute mark to finish her race in 4th with 4:59.5, with Abigail Coleman finishing in 6th with 5:03.4. Jack Hope continued his great current run of form to record his 3rd PB of the year with 4:31.6 to finish 7th in his race. Gemma Vaughan found herself a little isolated but ran well to record 5:31.0.

Tabatha Walford was competing at the same BMC venue in the BRAT open meeting ran an excellent race to set a new Club record for the Harriers U13G 600m with 1:55.7.
