Niamh combines it all in national success

Niamh Bailey finished in 4th place in the England National U20 Schools Heptathlon Championship adding a huge 600 points to her personal best score. Competing on the day against 40 other athletes, Niamh set a club record, 2 personal bests and impressive performance in the other events.

Niamh performances were 100mH 16.37, High Jump 1.62, Shot Putt (Club Record) 8.86, 200m 25.90, Long Jump 4.97, Javelin 19.79 and 800m 2:30.09

The result ranked Niamh in 2nd place across the midlands, all of this in her first of three years in this age group and in only her 3rd ever Heptathlon. Alongside her Heptathlon achievements Niamh is ranked number one in the east midlands over four events 100m, 200m, High Jump, Long Jump. She is also ranked 3rd over the 400m, and 5th over the 100m hurdles.

This is the culmination of a season which has seen Niamh train and compete as hard as ever and has made her coach/ family and friends remarkably proud of her.
