This year’s Combined-Events Championships will take place at Northampton Athletics Track, Sixfield, Northampton on Wednesday 8th May 2013 (start at 10.00am and finish at about 4.00pm). Enclosed is an entry form for your school. Please note the following:-
• Entries are accepted on condition that each school provides at least one official.
• THREE entries will be accepted in all age groups. If you are wishing to enter more athletes please contact Matthew Peleszok by phone or fax on the number below.
• The first four in each competition will be considered for places in the county team to
compete in the Regional Finals.
• Details of each age group’s events are listed over.
• Entries must arrive by Thursday 2nd May 2013
• Further details will be sent out once your entry is received.
Due to ESAA rules and regulations we have had to change the Combined-events programme, as we can no longer run the decathlon, octathlon and heptathlon in one day, due to the demands of these events. We are now running all age groups as pentathlons, with the exception of the intermediate boys doing javelin and senior boys who will be required to take part in a pole vault competition. Please ensure your athletes are aware that if they are selected for the regional round they will be required to perform in all events for their age group.
If you have not previously entered athletes please give this event some consideration. As you know Combined-Events is popular throughout the U.K and is now one of the major events on the school athletic calendar. Previous events have been a huge success with athletes finding the competition both challenging and friendly. Our County events are both enjoyable and rewarding for all concerned but especially for the athletes.
