Road Running & Endurance

Road Running & Endurance

Kettering Town Harriers has a very strong and growing team of senior joggers, road runners and cross country runners. Known as the road runners, we meet at the club house at 6pm and form various ability groups for training sessions that involve track work, hill sessions or slow tempo jogs around the town.

We always welcome new members regardless of their standard. Our beginners section gives more information for those new to running and more experienced runners are encouraged to join in and help to further develop our training sessions.

Each session usually includes a slow, low mileage group covering about 4 miles in total, a fartlek group covering a moderate tempo run with six to eight sprint ‘efforts’ included and a track session completing a speed work session.

Each year, KTH enters several members into the London Marathon or other international marathons. In addition to this many members take part in various 10k and half marathon races across the country including the East Midlands Grand Prix, Cransley Hospice 10k & Half Marathon and many others. We regularly enter winning teams into these events. Please feel free to join us at 6pm on any Tuesday or Thursday or alternatively contact us for more information.
