April Floodlit Open (Sprint report)

Warm conditions saw the sprint squad produce a crop of personal bests on the night.

The outstanding performance of the night came from U17B Logan Reid who ran a powerful 100m to finish second in a personal best of 11.17 seconds. That time erased the club record that had stood since 2003 and shows the huge potential that he has as it was only his 2nd race of the season. It was also an English Schools Championships entry standard run. His early season form has seen him ranked as the fastest U17 boy in the Midlands over 100m, and 7th in the U17B UK rankings.

This was also only his 2nd race over the distance, and showed that he also has the potential to have a very good season. Training partner Dylan Mukhtar, U20M, finished 2nd in the 200m in a time of 23.96 seconds, having earlier ran a personal best of 11.77 seconds in the 100m.
