Eight sprinters were in action at the Corby Open on 14th June.
Erin Healy, as part of her preparation for the upcoming English Schools Championships, competed in the 300m. She showed good strength & stamina to finish 3rd in a time of 43.0 seconds behind fellow English Schools team mate, Evan Blackman.
Sam Harrison had his first run over 100m for the season. He won his race in a time of 13.6 into a headwind, and indicated that there is more to come from him over that distance in the future.
Other notable performances were by Sam Smith who also won his 100m race in a time of 11.8, and Max Mowforth who finished 3rd in his race, against older opposition, in a time of 13.3.
The squad are now hoping that their next meeting will be held in more seasonal conditions.
