Kettering town harriers are proud to have 3 Middle Distance Squad members running at the English Schools finals tomorrow and we would like to wish the best of luck to Lewis Hayes, Jack Hope & Josh Cara for their races on Friday & Saturday (11&12th) which reflects well on the whole club!
Lewis has a real challenge with Heats and semi-finals to negotiate before he can think about the final. The heats will be a tough challenge with x 4 heats and only the first three guaranteeing a place in the semi-finals, together with the x4 fastest losers. The semis later in the day will also be the top 3 finishers in each heat and two fastest losers. Lewis will give it his all to try to make the final...and if he achieves this anything can happen!
Jack has a straight final in the 1500 steeplechase and although he lacks experience he has shown that he has taken to this event like a duck to the water jump, ranked 4th in the UK so he will be looking to set a PB and trying to medal.
Josh who recently set a new Club record for 3k goes into his straight final in great shape and will also look to set a PB and see if he can match the very best in the UK
You can watch the Squad & whole coverage of the English Schools which will be streamed Live on the web by registering for free with Vinco on the following link, http://www.vincosport.com/videos/coverage
