Jack Hope, in only his second outing this season over 2k steeple chase, set a fantastic new PB and an all-important English Schools Qualification time by almost a second with the BMC Grand prix race at Sports City in Manchester. Jack was in a high quality field and ran a superb race to slice nearly seven seconds from his PB to run 6:09.07 and move to number 3 in the U20 UK rankings.
Jack was delighted with his run, despite almost coming into contact with the BMC pacemaker at the first water jump, and his technique over the barriers, and in particular the water Jump is steadily improving with the specific training sessions.
Jack now switched attention to an 800m looking to test his speed endurance before targeting two further races before English Schools which he hopes to be selected for.
