League Champions

The final Heart of England fixture took place at Worcester on 2nd September 2012. The Club needed a top 3 finish to look toward promotion to the Top Division. The Girls team finised 1st and the Boys Team 2nd. This gave the Club an overall position of 2nd on the day.

The fantastic news was that when the scores from all 3 matches were totalled, the Club finished the Division in 1st place - gaining promotion! In two years the Club has gained successive promotions from the 3rd division to the 1st division.

A special mention and thanks to the many athletes who competed in additional events (not only their normal events) to score some vital points for the Club. There are too many athletes to mention BUT you all know who you are - and a huge thank you for showing a willingness to not only compete but to gain those extra valuable points.

The Club also won four of the age group sections, namely U17 Men and U17 (plus senior) ladies, the U11 boys and overall female.

Also in the U11 category - specific medals are given to the top 3 athletes in each event scored over the 3 meetings. The Club are proud to say that Diarra Layne won Gold for his 600m (which was also a Club record - bearing Dylan Bowley's record which was only set at the open meeting on 19 August 2012), Dylan Bowley got Silver in the 600m, Emily Williams won a Silver in the 600m and Erin Healy won 2 Golds in the 75m sprint and Long Jump.

Thanks to all athletes who competed for the Club and who with their committment and effort enabled this further promotion to take place.
