Niamh Bailey went off to the EIS in Sheffield to the England u20 pentathlon champs on Saturday 4th Jan.
She kicked the day off with a PB in the hurdles. The following two events were High Jump, where she jumped a solid 1.57m, and Shot Put, where she was way off her best with a throw of 8.68m.
she headed off to Long Jump leaping out to a distance of 5.15m, matching what she jumped in her first competition last year.
The final event was the 800m where she set out well maintaining good pace, but unfortunately a dizzy spell had set in mid race. She made it all the way around and stumbled across the line to finish a extremely credible 12th position in the country. With a Huge pb of 573 more points.another Club record
With this competition very early on in the year there is much more to come in the season ahead.
