A big personal best took Sean Gallagher to the top of the table when he finished second in the third round of the Kettering Town Harriers handicap series.
Sean covered the 5K course in 19:31 overtaking everyone except newcomer Denise Cleaver, who proved to be very generously handicapped.
Hollie Harman just held off Alan Rain for third place, as both recorded their best times, a feat also achieved by Roz Giles, who was fastest woman in 21.11.
Quickest male finishers were Terry Toseland (17:23), Phil West (18:03) and Steve Giles (18:37) but they had too much ground to make up on their club colleagues, most of whom continued to show rapid improvement.
The final round of the series is scheduled for July.
