Matthew Peleszok is running the Virgin London Marathon on the 17th April 2011 for two Charities: Macmillan Cancer Care and When You Wish Upon a Star. Both charities are close to my heart with Macmillan Cancer Care helping families as a source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. It's not only patients who live with cancer, so we also help carers, families and communities. This is a charity close to my heart as my dad has been fighting cancer for 6 years now and through the care that charities like this offer he is able to live everyday as though it was a normal day.
When You Wish Upon a Star - this is a small charity that helps make the wishes come true for children age 2-16 with a life threatening illness. My girlfriend lost her cousin to Leukemia last year at the age of 12 years of age; this charity helped him go to Lapland and recieve other great opportunities to make his life as enjoyable as possible.
